Seeing that many lawyers of Punjab, Haryana, and Chandigarh are still confused about how they attend hearings via videoconferencing in the times of pandemic and social distancing, the governing high court has issued standard operating procedure (SOP) to help them learn the process. The bench is hearing all matter through Cisco Webex internet-based video-conferencing system and app, and only in case of difficulty, a WhatsApp group call is allowed. Upon being joined to the virtual courtroom, the arguing counsel shall introduce self to the bench and wait for instructions. On being asked, the party makes submissions and on the completion of the submissions, puts the microphone on 'mute' at once.
